About the Principal
Mika Kutvonen’s construction career started in 2001, at which point he was building houses, from the foundation to the roof, with a general contractor in the Fraser Valley.
In 2005, amidst BC’s ‘leaky condo crisis’, Mika transitioned into building envelope restoration and began working as a carpenter. Mika soon realized the critical importance of well-considered and executed building envelope details for the long-term protection of a building. Mika worked his way up from carpenter, to site supervisor, to project manager, and eventually, proud owner of Kallio Restoration Ltd.
As a Bachelor of Business graduate, Mika identified a need for quality contractors that operate with a great deal of professionalism and customer service. He also recognized a need for improved workmanship, transparency, and education for Strata Owners.
Mika is a high-involvement company owner, who personally oversees the workmanship of his crews. He is continually educating himself to stay current with ‘best practices’ and new products, and he is passionate about offering the highest return on investment possible to his clients. Mika is not satisfied with the status quo and is always looking for ways to take a project from ‘good’ to ‘great’.

LICENSED AND INSURED
We are a fully licensed and insured HPO building envelope renovation contractor. We carry $5 million Commercial General Liabiliy (CGL) and WorkSafe coverage. We are an approved Home Warranty provider.

We are a friendly and transparent team who get to know residents by name. We believe that the most successful projects are completed as a team effort between all stakeholders – contractor, engineers, strata council, and residents.
